Dance Classes
Dance classes near Sun City.
Grandkids in classes, grandparents at Friday line dancing — The Facility is fifteen minutes from Sun City and built for both.
The Facility sits just up the 101 from Sun City and Sun City West, and our connection to the community runs both directions. Grandparents bring grandkids to Saturday morning classes — Mommy & Me at 9:00 am is a multigenerational favorite — and increasingly, they stay for themselves.
Friday night Adult Line Dancing at 6:30 pm has become the reason many of our Sun City neighbors visit weekly: classic and modern line dances taught step by step in our all-black Studio 2, $20 a night, no partner and no experience needed. It is exercise that does not feel like exercise, in a room that feels like a dance hall.
For the younger dancers in your life, we teach ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, and more for ages 1 to adult, with transparent public pricing and a first class that is always free. Come see the teal light for yourself.
The Saturday morning grandparent shift
Saturday mornings at The Facility have a rhythm Sun City knows well: Mommy & Me at 9:00 am — grandmas and grandpas count, the name is not a rule — then Disney Princess ballet at 9:00 and 10:00, Hip Hop Tumble at 11:00, and musical theatre at noon. If the grandkids stay with you on weekends, one Saturday trip covers their dance education for the week, and the lobby coffee conversation is its own social hour.
Several Sun City families are enrolled with us right now, and the drive is the easy kind: up the 101 or straight north on the surface streets, about fifteen minutes with no school-traffic chaos on a Saturday.

Line dancing is not a spectator sport
If you have been meaning to try Friday line dancing and keep not coming, here is everything the hesitation is made of, answered: you do not need a partner, you do not need experience, every dance is taught from zero before the music runs, and it costs $20 at the door. The room is dark, the light is teal, and nobody is watching your feet but you. Sun City regulars will tell you the hardest part is the first Friday.
Questions Sun City families ask
Can grandparents bring grandkids to class, or does a parent need to be there?
Grandparents are welcome to bring dancers, watch class, and handle drop-off and pickup. For enrollment paperwork we will need a parent or guardian's signature once, and after that Saturdays are all yours.
Do I need a partner or any experience for Friday line dancing?
Neither. Every dance is taught step by step before the music starts, lines mean you never need a partner, and beginners blend in by design. It starts at 6:30 pm and is $20 at the door.
How long is the drive from Sun City West?
Plan on 15 to 20 minutes: Bell or Beardsley to the 101, north to Union Hills or Beardsley, and over to 78th Ave at Deer Valley. Saturday mornings are the lightest traffic of the week.
