About this class
Step into a world of expression with our Recreational Lyrical Class, designed specifically for dancers ages 7–10. Lyrical dance is a beautiful fusion of ballet and jazz, focusing on storytelling through fluid, graceful movement. In this class, students will learn to interpret the emotion of music while building strong technical foundations.
What Dancers Will Experience
- Expressive Movement. We focus on how to use dance to tell a story, encouraging dancers to convey feeling and emotion through their body language.
- Graceful Technique. Students will practice foundational ballet and jazz skills—such as extensions, turns, and leaps—but with a softer, more fluid quality.
- Musicality. Learning to listen deeply to the music and mirror its dynamics, from soft and slow to powerful and swelling.
- Confidence Building. A supportive, non-competitive environment where children build confidence in their own unique artistry and grace.
Join us to find your flow and express your story!
