About this class

Step into a world of expression with our Recreational Lyrical Class, designed specifically for dancers ages 7–10. Lyrical dance is a beautiful fusion of ballet and jazz, focusing on storytelling through fluid, graceful movement. In this class, students will learn to interpret the emotion of music while building strong technical foundations.

What Dancers Will Experience:

Expressive Movement: We focus on how to use dance to tell a story, encouraging dancers to convey feeling and emotion through their body language.

Graceful Technique: Students will practice foundational ballet and jazz skills—such as extensions, turns, and leaps—but with a softer, more fluid quality.

Musicality: Learning to listen deeply to the music and mirror its dynamics, from soft and slow to powerful and swelling.

Confidence Building: A supportive, non-competitive environment where children build confidence in their own unique artistry and grace.

What to wear

Leotard or fitted top with leggings or shorts. Bare feet or foot undies. Hair pulled back.

For the trial, comfortable clothes and bare feet or socks are perfectly fine — buy shoes after you fall in love with it.
