Dance Classes
Dance classes for north Phoenix.
Right off the 101 at Deer Valley, The Facility is the black-box dance studio north Phoenix families use without fighting their way downtown.
If you live in north Phoenix — Norterra, Happy Valley, Moon Valley, or anywhere along the I-17 or 101 corridors — The Facility is likely closer than you think. We sit just west of the 101 at 78th Ave and Deer Valley in Peoria, which puts most of north Phoenix within a 15 to 25 minute drive, against traffic.
What you find at the end of that drive is different on purpose: four all-black box studios edged in teal LED, sprung marley floors, and a faculty whose resumes run from NBA dance teams to world stages. We teach ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre for ages 1 to adult, plus Friday night Adult Line Dancing at 6:30 pm.
Tuition is published to the dollar, competition is invite-only and optional, and your first class is free. Come see why Phoenix families cross the city line for this room.
One in six of our families drives in from Phoenix
Twenty-one Phoenix families and twenty-six dancers are enrolled at The Facility as this is written — more than any city except Peoria itself. That is what against-traffic geography does: while everyone else fights toward downtown at 4 pm, north Phoenix families slide west on the 101 or across Deer Valley Road and walk in relaxed.
From Norterra and Happy Valley plan on 15 minutes. Moon Valley and the I-17 corridor south of the 101 run 20 to 25. If your mental map says Peoria is far, drive it once — the 101 has quietly made us neighbors.

A schedule that survives school nights
Weekday recreational classes start at 4:30 pm and evening blocks run past 8, so both the straight-from-school dancer and the homework-first dancer have a slot. Preschoolers get weekday-morning classes on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and Saturday mornings run the full young-dancer lineup from Mommy & Me at 9:00 am to musical theatre at noon — the trip nobody has to time around traffic at all.
Questions Phoenix families ask
How long is the drive from Norterra or Happy Valley, honestly?
About 15 minutes on the 101 west to Beardsley or Union Hills, and you are traveling against rush-hour flow. Moon Valley and central north Phoenix run closer to 20 to 25.
Why would we pick a Peoria studio over one in Phoenix?
Distance-wise, for most of north Phoenix we are the close option — closer than central Phoenix studios once traffic is real. Beyond that, come see the rooms: four black-box studios with sprung floors, and pricing published to the dollar.
Do evening classes end late enough for pickup after work?
Evening blocks run past 8 pm on school nights, and the lobby is a comfortable place for dancers to wait the few minutes if a class ends before you arrive.
