Anthem has great community programs, but when a dancer starts wanting more — more technique, more styles, more stage — families head south. From Anthem the drive to The Facility runs about 25 minutes: I-17 to the 101 or straight down to Deer Valley Road, then west to 78th Ave in north Peoria.
We teach ballet, hip hop, jazz, tap, lyrical, contemporary, and musical theatre for ages 1 to adult in four all-black box studios with sprung floors and teal LED light. Recreational dancers get the same faculty as our invite-only competitive company, and adults get their own night: Friday line dancing at 6:30 pm, no partner needed.
Every new student's first class is free, and the $35 registration fee disappears if you enroll within 24 hours of the trial. Check the live schedule before you make the drive.
The signs a dancer has outgrown the community program
You usually know before they say it. The recital piece gets learned in a week and marked for months. They start teaching themselves from videos because class stopped stretching them. They ask about styles the program does not offer — lyrical, contemporary, real tap. None of that means the community program failed; it means it worked, and the next step is a studio with depth: seven styles, leveled classes, and teachers who correct with specifics instead of encouragement alone.

Making 25 minutes worth it
The math changes when one trip buys more than one class. Tuesday evenings run back-to-back recreational classes for ages 7 to 10, Thursday is the fullest recreational night of our week with classes stacked from 4:30 pm on, and Saturday morning is a continuous block from 9:00 am to noon for the youngest dancers. Anthem families tend to pick one heavy day, pack it, and keep the rest of the week at home.

What is the drive from Anthem at school-night rush hour?
Budget 25 to 30 minutes: I-17 south, then either the 101 west or Deer Valley Road straight across. You are moving against the worst of the evening flow most of the way.
Can my dancer take two classes in one evening so the drive pays off?
Yes — Tuesday and Thursday evenings are built with consecutive age-grouped classes exactly so a longer-drive family can stack them.
My dancer is only four — is the drive worth it that young?
Honestly, maybe not on a school night. Consider Saturday morning instead: Mommy & Me, Disney Princess, and tumble classes run 9 am to noon, and a free first class will tell you if it clicks.
