About this class
Our Recreational Lyrical class for pre-teen dancers is where technique meets storytelling. Lyrical blends ballet and jazz into fluid, expressive movement, and this class helps pre-teens dance what the music makes them feel.
- Expressive Movement. Dancers learn to tell a story with their whole body — face, arms, and the way a phrase breathes — so the emotion reads from the back row.
- Growing Technique. Extensions, turns, leaps, and floor work get cleaner and stronger each week, with the control and softness that make lyrical look effortless.
- Musicality. We listen closely to lyrics and dynamics, from quiet and slow to big and swelling, and shape the movement to match.
Every dancer is encouraged, corrected kindly, and celebrated for their progress. Your first class is free.
What to wear
Leotard or fitted top with leggings or shorts. Bare feet or foot undies. Hair pulled back.
For the trial, comfortable clothes and bare feet or socks are perfectly fine — buy shoes after you fall in love with it.
